Are we going to use a high draft pick on a Quarterback in the 2009 NFL Draft? NO.
Are we going to attack FA and look for a Quarterback to fill Delhomme's shoes in the offseason? NO.
This is probably the most debated position on the field by Panthers Fans. The Panthers orginization has made it clear that Jake is our QB. On Thursday, they proved it, giving Delhomme a five-year, $42.5 million extension that keeps the 34-year-old under contract through the 2014 season. Matt Moore and Josh McCown are backing up Delhomme. Carolina are content with their Quarterbacks however there was a rumor that the Panthers were interestered in Bills Quarterback JP Losman. This would be to backup Delhomme solely. Delhomme is a proven starter in the NFL and is an emotional leader to the team. Don't expect him to go anywhere until his age brings him off the team.
